How we look after what you send us

We ask for as little as we can, we use it only to reply to you, and we never sell it or pass it on for marketing.

What we collect

When you write to us, ask about a work or join our letters, we receive what you type into the form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as a phone number, your city, details of a work your family owns, or photographs of it.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to arrange a visit or a viewing, and, if you asked for them, to send you our letters. If you tell us about a work your family owns, we treat that as confidential and share it with no one outside our team without your agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep your letters for as long as we are in conversation with you and for a reasonable time afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. You can ask us at any time to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.

Letters from the house

Every letter we send has a way to stop receiving them. You can also simply write to us and we will take you off the list.
